Security Payments this month Check: There is good news for millions of social security beneficiaries in the US. After a delay in payments in May 2025, payments are expected to arrive before the due date in June. This time the schedule for social security checks has been cleared in advance.
Social security benefits are given to more than 70 million people in America every month. This scheme is especially helpful for retired elderly, disabled people and family members of deceased employees. This helps them meet their essential expenses easily.
Beneficiaries receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) will not receive any payment in June 2025 because there were two payments in May — this usually happens when the first of a month falls on a weekend or holiday. In such cases, the SSA makes the next payment in advance.
Security Payments this month Check schedule
Social Security benefits are usually sent every Wednesday according to the beneficiary’s birth date. The payment dates for June 2025 are as follows:
- People born between the 1st and 10th will get payment on Wednesday, June 11
- People with birthdays between the 11th and 20th will get payment on Wednesday, June 18
- People born after the 21st will get payment on Wednesday, June 25
People who began receiving Social Security benefits before May 1997 will receive their June payment on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. These beneficiaries always receive payments on the third day of each month.
What to do if there is a delay in payment?
If you don’t receive your payment on the due date, SSA recommends that you wait at least 3 additional mail delivery days before contacting. However, now 99% of payments are sent electronically, which has greatly reduced the chance of delays.
SSA is now using direct deposit or prepaid debit cards instead of paper checks to maintain transparency in payments and avoid fraud.
If you need any information regarding your payment, you can directly visit the ssa.gov website or contact the SSA helpline.
